She grew up in Ohio and fell in love with taking photos of the trees as they turned golden and seeking out all of the beautiful corners of the Midwest. When studying a landscape photographer as a part of an art project in middle school, she discovered that she’d be happy to spend her life documenting and creating with others.

Sam has worked as a photographer full-time since 2016, crafting campaigns for clients worldwide, initially with a home base in Portland, Oregon. She’s been living in Los Angeles, California since early 2021—continuing her creative work with just a touch more sunshine year-round.
